In his message to Kenyans, Uhuru asked for responsible celebrations and sharing the Christmas cheer with the less fortunate.
“The true gifts of Christmas are not material but rather the opportunity to share the festive season with those who we love and cherish. As you celebrate with family and friends during this festive season, I urge you all do so responsibly. Also remember the less fortunate, and spread to them the festive cheer.”
On his part, AU envoy Raila Odinga has asked Kenyans to thank God for the blessings he has granted the nation.
Seasons greetings and may the blessings of the Lord be upon you all! This Christmas, may we give thanks for the blessings God has granted our Nation. From Mama @IdaOdinga, the entire Odinga family and myself, we wish you all a #MerryChristmas pic.twitter.com/eRvU24x8Ve
