Jurgen Klopp Makes Mohamed Salah Injury Claim – ‘It Was Not Perfect’

In May, Salah and Ramos came together in the first half and the Liverpool man ended up breaking down in tears after dislocating his shoulder and being forced off in the first half.

Liverpool ended up losing the final and Salah then appeared to be inhibited by his shoulder for Egypt in the World Cup.

Salah started the season with a goal in the opening game but by the end of October, he had only scored four more league goals and during an eight-game period only scored once.

But he has hit back in stunning fashion with five goals in his last four matches in all competitions.

And since the start of last season, only Messi has scored more league goals in the big five European divisions than Salah.

Speaking ahead of Liverpool’s clash with Newcastle, Klopp suggested Salah’s early season struggles may have been due to his recovery from his shoulder injury.

Klopp said: “He had to adapt a bit to a slightly different position.

“He still has the desire and speed on the first few yards, he is a very important part of our finishing situations and how we prepare them.

“He’s young enough to involve a lot more things into his style of play.

“At the start of the season, part of Mo’s body was not perfect.

“If you work in an office, if your shoulder is not your writing hand, then you’re okay.

“But if you’re a footballer, you have to wait until it’s 100 per cent.”
