After the nullification of last year’s Presidential Elections, Uhuru Kenyatta said that they would revisit the Judiciary led by the Chief Justice David Maraga. But that is now distant news as the President has just ordered the Kenya Defense Forces to Airlift the Chief Justice and his wife to Nairobi for specialized treatment.
Maraga and his wife Yucabeth Nyaboke were rushed to the Nakuru War Memorial Hospital after being involved in a grisly road accident at Ng’ata Bridge along the Nakuru-Eldoret Highway.
Confirming the incident, Rift Valley Regional Coordinator Mongo Chimwanga said the accident occurred at around 9.45amChimwanga said Maraga and his wife were on their way to Church when the accident occurred.”The Chief Justice was involved in an accident at Ng’ata Bridge, they were heading to church when it occurred,” he said.
Reliable sources indicate that the president has exercised his powers as the Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces to issue a directive to KDF to airlift the CJ:
