While the country watched as the deputy president joined thousands of other graduands and fellow dignitaries at University of Nairobi to get his PhD, his son was being admitted as an advocate.

In a tweet post by Kiigen Koech , Ruto’s son Nick Ruto on Friday, December 21, had an academic achievement of his own. Nick Ruto was gazetted as an advocate of the High Court of Kenya, meaning that he now qualifies to argue a case in a court of law.

“Quadruple Celebration in the family. Congratulations!,” he added. The younger Ruto successfully completed the Kenya School of Law programme and passed the bar exam. The DP has always attributed his success to hard work, commitment, sacrifices and off course God and it has surely paid off and the fruits are clearly evident.

While many people might be wondering why their’s so much hullabaloo around the DP’s graduation, this is the reason, nobody gets to celebrate four occasions on the same date. December 21, will be forever marked on their calenders since it is the DP’s birthday to start with, his marriage anniversary, his graduation and his son being admitted as advocate. The quest for education saw the DP enroll for the PhD in August 2012 to pursue what his humble beginning could not offer.
