Perhaps if it ain’t lies then it ain’t politics, the scandals revealed over politicians that led to their success in Kenya is mostly shocking and unaccepted by the individuals.

Waititu and Sonko are constantly under criticism over their education and wealth while Miguna Miguna is hell bent on damaging Raila with exposing works of literature.On the other hand, IEBC has also nabbed a political lier recently.

The initial documents Garissa Governor Ali Korane presented for clearance to run for 2017 Garissa gubernatorial elections were altered at Independence Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC).

In a response to petition filed by Aden Muktar Bare, Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) said they are investigating how self-declaration form presented to the electoral body was altered to remove the MBA degree and replace it with Bachelor of Arts in International.

According to EACC the University of Nairobi have also denied issuing the MBA degree certificate to the governor

The university has also confirmed that the certificate was a forgery and Korane’s name does not appear in any of its graduation list. In a sworn affidavit filed by EACC investigator Kevin Lagat, the commission said upon the completion of investigations they will forward its report to the Directorate of Public Prosecution for action.

Aden Muktar, the father of former Garissa county minister Idris Muktar filed petition alleging the MBA degree certificate declared by Korane for purpose of obtaining clearance for gubernatorial position in 2017 is invalid.

The father had taken over the petition against the governor from his son who was shot and critically injured in Nairobi, he has since been flown to India to have bullet lodged in his head removed.

Idris was shot in the head by a three-man gang outside a hotel in Kileleshwa in Nairobi on Monday, August 20. The governor was arrested and vehemently denied being involved in his attempted murder, the father on other hand has vowed to fight for his son’s justice.

The IEBC has severally distanced itself from governor’s alleged fake academic papers.
