From 133 in KCPE to a C+! Introducing the top 20 Most improved Candidates in KCSE

For the first time in the history of KCSE exams, we can now know how candidates performed in the exams in relation to their KCPE results. When releasing the 2018 results at KNEC Headquarters here in Nairobi, CS Amina Mohammed said that the most improved candidate was Josphat Mwangi who scored 278 marks in KCPE but managed an A- of 78 points in KCSE from Mioro Secondary in Murang’a County.

But Josphat is not the only candidate who posted stellar results in KCSE after disappointing in their Primary school. We have a candidate who scored 186 marks in KCPE but will now join university after scoring a strong B-

But perhaps the most impressive results was from Suuda Mohamed Salat, a candidate from Abakore Mixed Day Secondary School in Wajir County. Suuda scored a C+ after posting a paltry 133 marks in KCPE. That is an average of 19 marks in every subject.

  6. Musyoka Erick Muthui B+ (269 KCPE Marks) -St.Peter’s Nzambani Boys
  7. Munene Roy B+ (267 KCPE Marks)- Chung’ari Mixed Day Secondary School
  8. Teresia Kalekye Kioko B+ (254 KCPE Marks)- Kaani Lions Secondary
  9. Osman Haret Gedi B+ (271 KCPE Marks)- County High School
  10. Dancan Kibet A- (312 KCPE Marks)- Chebwagan Secondary
