Kariobangi Sharks Ready their Guns Against Asante Kotoko as Second Leg Clash Looms

Kariobangi Sharks have released the traveling squad to Ghana that will face Asante Kotoko in the return leg of their CAF Confederations Cup Second Leg clash.

The Squad comprises of 18 players with head Coach William Muluya revealing his optimism heading into the crucial clash.

Muluya is confident that his team has what it takes to claim a win away against Asante Kotoko.

The Shield Cup winners were held to a barren draw when the two teams faced each other last weekend, and a scoring draw or a win of any kind will see Sharks through. Muluya says the pressure will be on the away team and that will give his charges an advantage.

“Playing away is better, the home team will be under pressure and that might work for us. We are aiming at getting a win, a very possible thing; we played well at home, the only undoing was not getting the ball into the back of the net, but we will rectify that.

“Our league win against Sony Sugar is motivation and we hope it will give us the confidence we need to overcome Kotoko,” he added.

“Being that we didn’t concede at home, I would say the second leg is anybody’s game. In fact it is advantage to us because for every goal we score, they need two. We could get a goal scoring draw and be threw or better even a win. It’s anyone’s game.

We will keep working hard putting in the work and hopefully we can get something positive in Kumasi.

The winner of this match will qualify for the group stages of the competition.

The match will be played on Saturday 22, December at the Baba Yara Stadium Kumasi from 3.00pm Kenyan Time.
