IEBC makes drastic department shuffle

The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) announced new changes in the agency.

IEBC stated that they would be making changes to their staff members in a bid to re-organisation in the electoral agency.

Acting CEO Marjan Hussein Marjan stated that the changes were part of ongoing transformation aimed at ensuring effectiveness and efficiency.

The Department of Communication and Public Affairs and Department of Corporate Affairs and Events was moved to Directorate of Voter Education and Partnerships.

In the new changes, the department of Boundaries Delimitation was moved to Directorate of Research and Development.

Rasl Masudi was also moved from Director of voter education and partnerships to Director of voter registration and electoral operations.

In July this year, Chairman Wafula Chebukati re-organised the commission’s secretariat in changes that affected six senior managers.

Chebukati made changes in the Finance, Legal, Human Resource and Supply Chain directorates.

“To ensure that the commission provides effective and efficient delivery of service to stakeholders, the changes have been agreed upon for immediate implementation,” a circular stated.
