Proof that Jacque Maribe has moved on and is living her best life

Sometimes life knocks us down but we can always rise from the miry clay and Citizen TV Journalist Jacque Maribe is proof of this. Miss Maribe who celebrated her birthday today seems to be getting on with her life even after the turmoil she went through a few months ago when she was linked to the murder of business woman Monica Kimani.

Citizen Television team, led by Editorial Director Joe Ageyo and the Director of Innovation and Strategy Linus Kaikai today joined journalist Jacque Maribe in celebrating her birthday. Ms Maribe, who had earlier attended court in regard to her case, arrived at the Citizen newsroom at 3 pm for the afternoon editorial meeting.

Linus Kaikai had pranked her that there was a work-related letter she needed to sign by today and therefore needed to come to the newsroom.

At around 4pm, when Ms Maribe had taken her seat in the newsroom, Mr Kaikai, Mr Ageyo and Swahili news Managing Editor Jamila Mohamed arrived in the newsroom carrying a cake, and burst in the popular “Happy Birthday” song.

The newsroom, which was silent at the time, erupted in joy as other journalists, including Swaleh Mdoe, Francis Gachuri, Faiza Maganga, Saida Swaleh and others sang happy birthday to her.

The visibly surprised but happy Ms Maribe could not hide her joy as she cut her cake and fed it to her colleagues in the newsroom.

Jacque Maribe has received support from her friends, family and fans but an equal amount of slander has also done rounds especially on the internet. If the photos from her birthday celebration are anything to go by, the Citizen TV journalist is living her life despite all the lemons life handed to her.
