DCI Anti-Narcotics Unit honoured for successful arrests of high profile Drug Dealers

Following successful interceptions, investigations & arrests of high profile Drug Dealers by the Anti-Narcotics Unit of the DCI, the US government through it’s Drug Enforcement Administration headquarters has today announced the upgrade of Formal Vetted Unit(FVU) of kenya’s ANU to Drug Enforcement Administration  Sensitive Investigations Unit.

This upgrade is in recognition of the good work done by the DCI Kenya Anti-Narcotics Unit & it makes Kenya the 14th country in the world & 3rd in Africa to be given such prestigious status in the war against Drug Trafficking.

The announcement was made today at the DCI HQs by Drug Enforcement Administration  country attaché Mr. Steven K.Hummel at the occasion where he handed two brand new Vans to the Director Mr. George Kinoti,CBS.

The vans will be used for critical operations by thE DCI Anti-Narcotics Unit(ANU)

Kenyans have reacted to this announcement saying that they are not satisfied by the DCI Anti-Narcotics Unit and they need to up their game.

Popular blogger Robert Alai reacted to the car donation saying that “Relying on donations for you to be equipped is a TRAGEDY. Don’t wait to be donated to things which are SO CHEAP. If they donated F-16s, sawa!!!”

Even though the DCI efforts continue to be almost unseen, this upgrade will keep the team in check and on toes to fast track their war against drug related case
