The Paul Pogba to Juventus rumours just won’t go away – and now reports in Italy have named the player the Red Devils want in part exchange.
Pogba is said to have wanted out of Old Trafford during the summer transfer window – and his relationship with Jose Mourinho hasn’t got much better since.Barcelona was said to be the Manchester United man’s destination of choice – but a return to old club Juventus was also mooted.
Reports in Italy say Old Lady did make a move for the Frenchman in the last few days of the transfer window.
Back then United were less than receptive for any deal – especially so late in the transfer window.But Sky Sports Italia expert Gianluca di Marzio revealed then that they would have been more open to the move if they could have prised Miralem Pjanic from Turin.
Juventus said no, but now another name has entered the frame.
TuttoMercatoWeb claim defender Alex Sandro could soon be heading to Old Trafford in either a cut-price deal or as a makeweight in a move for Pogba.
They even claim Red Devils scouts were sent to Switzerland earlier this week to watch Sandro in action against Young Boys in the Champions League.
He came on as a substitute in a 2-1 loss.
