Father Christmas Season is here and Raila yesterday decided to take up that role. It is festive season and the easiest way to get to children hearts is to spoil them with gifts or give them some special treatment.
Yesterday Hon. Raila Odinga embraced children and was Santa for the day.In a Christmas Luncheon at P.C.E.A’s Kangoya Child Development Center in Kiambu, Raila had some bonding time and also managed to serve children food after a church service.
Setting standards for the long list of leaders who seem to forget that they were appointed to give acts of service.
In his remarks, Raila acknowledged that the family is the natural environment for the growth, well-being and protection of children.
He also noted that many children in our society are deprived of parental care due to the death of parents, poverty, the impact of HIV and AIDS, disability and other causes.
His intention to support the young generation is pure and portrays him as a leader with the realization that the future of the nation rests on today’s children.
Famously called by his supporters as ‘Baba’ the name perfectly suits him.
What are your thoughts on Raila’s acts of service?
