Governor Sonko named Good Deeds Goodwill Ambassador in Kenya

Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko has today been named Good Deeds Goodwill Ambassador in Kenya.

Sonko earned this title for his philanthropic work in the Nairobi County and beyond. To his Kenyan supporters the Governor has made sure that on or finger tips, we could mention the many things that he has done for the nation.

The able governor has in many instances admitted to having used his personal money to fund initiatives with the intention to ease the lives of his people as well as to bring about initiatives that will lead to development.

Recently he stated that he had been using his own money to facilitate the beautification of the city.

The people under his administration have been beneficiaries of his philanthropic gestures and he insists that serving his people has always been a priority under his leadership.

Good Deeds Day is an international day of volunteering. Beginning in 2007, its mission is to unite people from around the world in doing good deeds for others and the planet.

This day of community service was launched in 2007 in Israel by businesswoman and philanthropist, Shari Arison, through Ruach Tova, a Nonprofit organization that connects between people who want to volunteer and organizations in need of assistance.

During this day, all over the world, hundreds of thousands choose to volunteer and help others, putting into practice the simple idea that every single person can do something good, be it large or small, to improve the lives of others and positively change the world.

Nairobi is set to host the Good Deeds Day on April 7, 2019 where Sonko will receive a grand honour for the same.

While many had been saying that his actions are mostly stunts to earn him a name the world  can still notice his efforts and contribution to the society.
