Here’s why you might want to think twice before you request for a cab on taxify. Ever since the app was launched in the country, there have been complaints from customers that the taxi is not safe or that they always overcharge customers way more than what is indicated on the fare estimate, or that the drivers are not professional and their cars not well maintained.
Well, a latest incident reported by one tweep will make you want to uninstall the app immediately.

“I took a Taxify home last night & I fell asleep in the car. The driver tried to put his hand up my skirt (and I was in the back sit) I woke up immediately and asked him what he was trying & he got so defensive. I’m tired. I’m so tired of @Taxify_ke and all it’s problems,” wrote Miss Nyaruai on her Twitter.
Apparently, this is not the first incident of this nature. After Miss Nyaruai came out to expose the driver and the taxify app, many others have had similar ordeals with the taxi service. KOT have now started a movement to uninstall the application and warned riders especially women from using it at night.
I was surprised to still see women using Taxify on this app, yesterday..deleted that app months ago….

Ladies, just avoid using Taxify in the evening/night seeing the number of complaints this year & seeing they dont take any action it seems. Better be Safe.

It does when the company in question takes 0 measures to reprimand said driver… That's the reason we're cancelling Taxify. Not because the driver can't use any other app but because the company itself does nothing even after incidences are reported.

Not the first time I am hearing of this… @Taxify_ke needs to be held accountable for failing to keep their drivers in check. This could be someone’s, fiancée, Girlfriend, daughter, wife, sister or mother!!

Delete @Taxify_ke app. If they are not willing to take a stance on the harassment and abuse that womxn suffer daily in their cabs then they are not worth your business. Take your business elsewhere. Cheaper rates are not worth the harm that is being caused.

Deleting the Taxify app means supporting our women and letting the company know that safety, esp women’s, is paramount.
Not deleting, is a sign of your privilege –
Privilege is when you think something is not a problem because it's not a problem to you personally.

Yes, they might have cheaper rates but tomorrow it may be you who’s a victim or your loved one; friend, Neighbour, girlfriend, sister, mother or daughter.
The company must also, have strict consequences for drivers with such assault claims & meaures to protect theirclients

Unlike other apps such as Uber and Little Cab where you can report the driver, taxify does not have such a platform for their users. If anything, they have been accused of being very complacent with the manner in which they handle complaints from customers.
It’s almost as though the have automated responses for all clients but never seem to take them seriously.
Hello, Thank you for reaching out. Here at Taxify, we pride ourselves on offering a safe, friendly and reliable service, we are in contact with both the driver and the client and acting amicably to investigate the issue.
