Kalonzo Musyoka is Making Moves at Ruto but Will the DP Fall for Him?

Is the Political Cold becoming more unbearable for Kalonzo Musyoka?

After accepting to be President Kenyatta’s errand boy or as many put it “mtu wa mkono.” the former Vice President seem not comfortable with the said role and has instead set his sights on a bigger role.

During his father’s burial, Kalonzo said he will not mind being Uhuru’s “mtu wa mkono”.

He threatened those who will meddle in his relationship with the President of unspecified action.

“From today, let no one separate me and my brother Uhuru. I have accepted to run his errands. Those who will attempt to interfere will see my other side,” Kalonzo said.

His new found relationship with President Kenyatta even saw him elevated to a diplomatic role.

In light of the ongoing political realignments, the Wiper Democratic Movement party leader has said he is keeping his options open for any political realignments in the run up to the 2022 General Election.

Kalonzo said that although the 2022 debate is healthy, it should not outshine service delivery to Kenyans.

The Wiper boss, while seemingly coming to the defence of Deputy President William Ruto, reminisced his days as the country’s second in command to the presidency saying the holder of the seat is always constantly fought.

“I was the 10th Vice President, but we have had only four presidents. Being a Vice President or Deputy President is really a slippery business,” said Kalonzo.

“When you hold that office, you are severely fought, pulled down, dragged all over and all other dangerous episodes just to bar you from inheriting the presidency.”

Kalonzo further urged President Uhuru Kenyatta and relevant government agencies to continue with the war on graft, adding that those ethnicizing the fight should be “forgiven.”

Kalonzo was Speaking in Busia County on Sunday during a harambee for Kolait Catholic sub-parish in Teso South.

It remains to be seen if the Wiper Party Boss will go it all alone in the 2022 elections or if he will again form an alliance with someone.

Which political path should Kalonzo take heading to 2022?
