Man arrested in possesion of Fake KDF documents

The level of daring that Kenyans have gotten to is so worrying and highlights the state of insecurity in the country.

Online scams and forgery has become a run to place of many young people to make easy money.

This proves the desperate situation that is slowly eating up our country.

Yesterday, detectives working on information from the members of the public arrested Mr. Peter Nyabogoye Kaunda, a 25-year-old man, found making false documents without Authority.

The suspect was nabbed at the Sir Yusuf Club within the Central Business District.

The following items were confiscated:- A Copy of Medical Examination Form KDF Calling Letter for January 2019, A Copy of Police Clearance Certificate, A Copy of Her Majesty’s Armed Forces Application to Service Form & A Copy of Unknown Recruitment Format Application Form.

There have been cases of KDF recruitment scams in the past where individuals promise people jobs yet they end up  conning them off their money.

Earlier in April from the Nation reports, a man suspected to have conned youth of more than Sh2 million by promising to recruit them into the Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) was held in police custody.

Police said he is the ring leader of a syndicate that has been operating in Mombasa and Kilifi counties.

The man had been pretending to be a Kenya Navy officer and the police believe that he was not working alone hence the detectives were on the look out for the gang.

In the recent incident this only shows how fearless people have become by engaging in very risky and criminal activities.

As the police are trying on their end, strict laws should be put in place to ensure that no one would dare make such moves.
