Traffic Jams in Nairobi are always anticipated and on rainy days it could get worse. Kenyans have been informed that the Thika-Garissa Road might not be accessible on Friday 7th Dec 2018.
The graduation ceremony will be held at the Mount Kenya University, Graduation Pavillion Grounds Thika- Garissa Road
The ceremony will be presided over by the University Chancellor Prof. John Struthers, who will award Diplomas and Certificates and confer Degrees.
The plan by the county government of Nairobi to decongest the roads in the city did not work when a pilot plan was initiated earlier this week. The Matatu Ban into CBD did not seem to work and the ban had to be lifted.
Tomorrow Kenyans have been advised to use other routes or even hit the road earlier than usual.
On the graduation day, all graduands will participate in the graduands procession in order of their schools at 7.00 am. Graduands and their guests will be expected to have taken their seats by 8.00 am.
Kenyans have the traditions of bringing extended families during graduations.
Buses and private cars are expected to be in plenty within these premises and therefore users of that route might have a long day on road.
