Former Kakamega Senator Boni Khalwale has today dared the ODM party to suspend Raila Odinga.

This comes after  the back and forth in the ODM party having that they wanted to suspend two MPs; Aisha Jumwa and Suleiman Dori for publicly associating with the Deputy President William Ruto.

Boni Khalwale has said that If the party really wants people to believe them then as they expel these 2 Mps for associating with Ruto; they should also expel Raila for associating with Uhuru.

The former Senator back in October  had declared that he will give Ruto his support come 2022 as he said that the dimensions in politics change with trends.

“I am a seasoned politician and I have been keen to know who becomes President every electioneering year. It has come to my attention that in Africa, you cannot defeat a candidate of a sitting president and that is why I have decided that I will not waste time waiting for results to be relayed by Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission. I choose to support Ruto in 2022,” he said.

He urged voters in the western region to support Ruto. Boni Khalwale is on record saying that DP William Ruto will be declared winner in 2022 even if he will be defeated.

In a recent statement, Khalwale however said that his position with the deputy president is strange; and therefore they will decide whether they are voting for Ruto or not.

“Ford Kenya in the future might make an announcement on whether they support the deputy president or not” he said

Political Analyst Danstan Omari  weighed in saying that the ODM party has double standards. He reasoned that ever since the handshake, Raila Odinga has become moreof Jubilee yet this is not even a big deal for them.

Earlier yesterday, Raila had a brief meeting with MP Suleiman Dori and they seemingly discussed over the issue.

The Legislator alongside other Coastal leaders visited Raila Odinga at his Capitol Hill Office today. Dori was accompanied by other Coastal MPs  namely, Ali Mbogo (Kisauni) & Owen Baya (Kilifi North) together with Minority Whip in the National Assembly Junet Mohammed.

Details of the meeting still remain scanty but if yesterday’s happenings are anything to go by, it is expected that Dori went to make peace with Raila in order to avoid the axe from ODM.
