Wild celebration !! Apology that Everton want from Liverpool

Everton manager Marco Silva insists Jurgen Klopp did NOT apologise for his Merseyside derby celebration, despite the Liverpool boss claiming he did say sorry.

Klopp invaded the pitch after Divock Origi netted in the fifth minute of injury time to win the game for the Reds, with the manager running to embrace Alisson, the goalkeeper.

He faces punishment from the Football Association for encroaching onto the pitch while the match is still in process, but Klopp downplayed any issue between him and his opposite number, Silva, in his post-match press conference.

“Immediately after the game I apologised to Marco Silva when we spoke to each other,” Klopp said.

“I told him how much I respect his work, because it’s incredible what he has done with that team. They are just a really outstanding side.

“Derbies are always difficult games but this was a completely different difficult to the last few years.

“What can I say about it? I didn’t want to run. It was not in my plan. I didn’t want to run to Ali, I couldn’t stop obviously. Not cool, but it happened.”

However, Silva has now hit back at Klopp to contradict his apology claims.

“No, he didn’t apologise to me,” the Portuguese said, as quoted by the Liverpool Echo.

“All of your colleagues asked me about this situation but, to be honest, I didn’t see what happened.Image result for Jurgen Klopp gif

“I didn’t see it. I don’t know what he did and the way he did it.

“I think he didn’t expect it, it was a lucky day for him this afternoon. It’s football. I cannot tell you if it was any disrespect because I didn’t see it.

“You are asking me but maybe when I see that moment I can speak more about that situation.”

Origi’s late winner, scored after a huge mistake from Jordan Pickford, kept the Reds just two points behind Manchester City in the Premier League table.
