Nairobi governor Mike Sonko made headlines last week during the Blue Economy Conference when he delivered a speech with a fake American accent referring to the President as Kenyarra.
His speech became a butt of all jokes on social media. Sonko later revealed why he had adopted the accent.
The governor disclosed that he adopted the American twang while delivering his speech to impress the international delegation that gathered in Nairobi for the Blue Economy Conference.
“Mgeni siku ya kwanza, mpe mchele na panza, rice with flying fish. Mtilie kifuani, embrace him, mkaribishe… Asanteni sana moreso Uhuru Kinyarra,” Sonko captioned the video in which he was giving a vote thanking after the departure of the international guest.
But now Kenyans believe his move to ban public vehicles from entering the Nairobi CBD is just adopted like his fake accent.
After copying American Accent days Ago, i guess Mike Sonko is copying this ban from somewhere and will throw it away after he completes his mission!#MatatuCBDBan wont last!

Kenyans had to walk for long distances to work on Monday, as the day one of the Matatu ban took effect. Some people have faulted his decision to ban public vehicles without giving residents alternatives.
Very true, it’ will be practiced for a few days or weeks then everything gets to normal

Do you believe the Matatu Ban will not last for long like Sonko’s fake accent?
