PHOTOS: How the Matatu CBD ban poses a great danger to Kenyans

The Matatu CBD ban is the talk of town today as many Kenyans had to walk; there is a chance that  this system will fail and some Kenyans are hopeful that it may work only if it is well executed and other factors considered; security, infrastructure as well as considering the physically challenged.

Some are not against this ban only that they ask for a alternative.

In this environment don’t you think it is an opportunity for pickpockets to thrive? Kenyans will experience delay in getting to work as they are exposed to being robbed especially on the footbridges.

How safe are these footbridges and are they even stable to have these numbers. One Kenyan has proposed that the ban would have been on the private vehicles  and not  matatus. His reason being it is not logic to have the opposite done.

Analysts have also weighed in saying that this ban was not well thought of and is likely to fail.

So what happens at night? Will people have to walk too? Holding their laptop bags from work. How safe can this be?

Kenyans have complained that this ban is only  to  divide the haves and have nots and as usual, the have nots will have to bear the struggle and the effects of this ban.

Kenyans have cried foul with some saying that this is a crisis in the making. Just as people were adjusting to the Michuki rules situation, another blow hits them and they now demand for a lasting solution.

Does it make sense to  decongest the CBD yet other parts of Nairobi are still experiencing traffic jam? The entire transport system needs  to be refurbished.

A well thought out model needs to be put in place to curb the traffic situation.

What are your thoughts on the Matatu CBD Ban?
