Babu Owino has dropped a bomb reaction on the Matatu CBD ban by relating the situation to a diarrhea scenario.
Many have shared their opinions but this particular one from the youthful Embakasi East MP has made Kenyans
Babu Owino is known for very many controversial statements and does not really seem to care much about what impact such statements might have. His main agenda is to give his point as naked, honest and savage as it may be.
In his opinion, Babu Owino equates the Matatu Ban to ‘Diarrhea’ a condition that can not be controlled or be held back somehow one has to let things out. The MP says that by blocking this from happening things might explode.
Leaders are in most cases known for giving comments that end up raising a huge debate and Babu Owino is no exception.
After the ban took effect today under Mike Sonko’s directive, this had led to an uproar online as people opposed it although some also gave their support.
If it is about taking sides then we know where Babu Owino’s stand is. He describes it as madness..
MADNESS!#MatatuCBDBan has been prematurely implemented. You cannot ban Matatus from accessing Nairobi CBD without a well developed mass transit system within the CBD. Did Mike Sonko consider the disabled, the sick not to mention the great distance between different bus stations? pic.twitter.com/yP0bRGGClc

Babu Owino is not alone in the defense of Matatu drivers; earlier today, the Chairperson of Matatu Welfare Association, Dickson Mbugua mentioned that it would make more sense if the directive was issued based on certain statistics.
He also added that relocating the matatus from the CBD will not offer a lasting solution but only give an opportunity to more private vehicle users to pave their way into town.
The Nairobi Senator has reportedly taken the matter to court and the ban as at now hangs on a balance.
Do you think the ban is an effective plan for decongestion in Nairobi town?
