Photos: Sonko leading mass cleaning of the City

Nairobi Governor Mike Mbuvi Sonko has kicked another city cleaning program tagged as #MyWasteMyResponsibility. This drive is meant at educating the people as they are also involved in cleaning of the city and making their environments clean.

This initiative was launched few months ago with the aim of creating knowledge on the residents of Nairobi to preserve their environment by keeping it clean always.

Sonko himself leads the cleaning activity among other county representatives and other national leaders who volunteer to come and join the cleaning program.

The cleaning initiative now comes each and every month. Few months ago The President Uhuru Kenyatta joined Mike Sonko and other Nairobi residents in cleaning of the city.

This initiative has received support from other organization and institution who have joined hands with the county of Nairobi to make sure that the city is kept clean. UN have been sending various representatives to support the governor in making the city look clean.

The initiative also involves planting of trees and other actions that are meant to keep the environment clean and safe.

This month clean up exercise is led by UN Habitat Executive Director Maimunah Mahd Sharif , Mike Sonko and other county officials in making sure that all the 85 wards are cleaned.

Different officials have been distributed to various parts of the city to ensure that each and every ward is involved and that the people are informed on the importance of staying in a clean , safer environment that is worth for human better living.
