Nandy spills shocking details about Willy Paul

Tanzanian soft spoken artist Nandy has captured the attention of Kenyans in a rather a shocking revelation following her collabo song with Kenya’s “gospel” star Willy Paul.

Just five months ago the duo Willy Paul and Nandy collaborated and released a song dubbed Njiwa which its apparently doing quite well having hit six million views in five months on Youtube.

While speaking at an interview the Ninogeshe. hit maker revealed oif how she declined Willy paul’s song and later gave him a song of her own.

According to Nandy, I met Willy Paul when I came for a media tour here in Kenya for my song Ninongeshe. He had a conversation with my manager before so when i came , it was the right time.”

In addition she said, “He gave me a song from his studio and i told him that he had to change so i gave him a song, so we did Njiwa he loved it and then we shot it.”

“This is my second time at coke studio, i feel so nice the work i did last year has bore Fruits thats why i have been called once again,I am working with Skales from Nigeria and Nadia.This platform has helped me get known across the continent, expect great things this year.”

 

Nandy has confessed she loves Kenya and just like many other Tanzanian artistes, this is her second home.

Her career in music kicked off when a common friend introduced her to Ruge Mutahaba, CEO of Tanzania House of Talent (THT). This is where she met Ema the Boy, who produced her first mainstream single, Nagusagusa.The song became a huge hit within a week of its release.

In early 2016 she participated in a singing competition Tecno own the stage. The contest featured contestants from all over Africa and during the finals in Lagos, Nigeria, Nandy emerged as the first runner-up. The competition groomed her well music wise, as she gained performance confidence, and also acquired essential knowledge of the music industry from the musical tutors and mentors such as chocolate City’s M.I Abaga, Yemi Alade and Bien of Sauti Sol.
