Is Hustler Ruto Confessing to Being Corrupt? Mudavadi Spills the Beans

Musalia Mudavadi is slowly but surely winning the hearts of a section of Kenyans if his sentiments on NTV’s Sidebar yesterday are anything to go by.

The Amani National Congress Leader continued his war of words with Deputy President William Ruto who has presented himself to the general Public as a son of a peasant who worked his way up the social and political pecking order.

Ruto is said to have grown from the ranks of a chicken seller to the ranks of the Country’s second in command. Ruto refers to himself as a hustler, something that has not been received well by Mudavadi.

According to Mudavadi, Ruto might be secretly sending a message to the public about his bad and questionable deeds.

“If you look at the full meaning of the word hustler… it is really not something you want to be associated with. You have to ask; is someone confessing?” said Mudavadi.

According to the Cambridge English Dictionary, a hustler is someone who tries to deceive people into giving them money.

Mudavadi’s latest attack on Ruto comes just days after he questioned the millions of cash that Ruto has continued to give to Churches all over the country.

Mudavadi called on churches to reject contributions from leaders perceived to be corrupt.

Mudavadi said that the church, being a moral compass of the society should not accept funds from corrupt leaders.

“The church and other religious entities are the moral compass of society and should not be over run by worldly things,” said Mudavadi.

He said such leaders are using loot to create the impression that they are development conscious.

In an attack directed at Deputy President William Ruto, who has been at the forefront in giving out huge contributions to churches, Mr Mudavadi asked church leaders to be brave enough and decline cash from such leaders.

He said such leaders’ wealth acquisition record is questionable. “You can’t be telling us you are investing in heaven by giving out large sums of money that you can’t account for,” he said.

“The church should be careful with these people masquerading as being wealthy and giving out money that they have stolen from public coffers,” said Mr Mudavadi.

The former Vice-President also lamented that 60 per cent of the country’s GDP is being channelled towards loan repayment.

“A country will always borrow, that is fact. The situation in Kenya right now is that our public debt is close to 60% of our GDP for an economy like ours, this is a serious concern,” decried Mudavadi

He called on President Uhuru Kenyatta to intensify the fight against corruption to ensure that any money borrowed for development is not misappropriated by few corrupt individuals in government.

Would you Vote for Musalia as President come 2022 should he contest?
