Attacks on police officer alarms as rogue civilians vow to deal with them, however, the Independent Policing Oversight Authority ( IPOA) has issued a stern warning to the members of the public against such.
IPOA noted it was unacceptable and criminal for anyone to take the law into their own hands.
In a statement released by the authority through its tweet, the authority said such activities are likely to foster anarchy and break an already established order.
“IPOA strongly condemns the attacks. These criminal actions interrupt the dispensation of security services and inconveniencing law abiding Kenyans and even the attackers themselves who by constitutional right ought to access quality policing services,” read the statement.

This comes after a video which went viral of a tuk-tuk driver seemingly bent on teaching two police officers a lesson.
The unnamed driver operating vehicle registration number KTWB 757D said a scuffle ensued between him and the officers after they broke his vehicle’s side mirror and windscreen.
Kenyans called for the immediate arrest of the Tuktuk driver for assaulting the officers with impunity.
According to the motorist, he was provoked into the daring action after one of the men in uniform pushed and manhandled him severally.
Do you think some rogue police officers need to be taught a lesson?
“The dark skinned officer raised his club and broke my side mirror and windscreen. Both of them were shattered completely after they fell into the car,” he said.
He then said he was pummeled using the club but chickened out of reporting the issue because he thought justice would not be served.
