‘FORD Kenya is a party of slay queens’

Edwin Sifuna labels FORD Kenya party of slay queens and Eseli Simiyu can't take it

It is not getting any better. The bitter quarrel between FORD Kenya and Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) has graduated to a new level with senior officials from the two NASA coalition affiliate parties now calling each other names and issuing public threats.

Things went South when the ODM party’s Secretary General, Edwin Sifuna, branded FORD Kenya a slay queen’s party, a moniker that was not well received by his FORD Kenya counterpart, Eseli Simiyu.

Appearing on NTV on Tuesday, November 27, Simiyu termed as very unfortunate Sifuna’s slay queen remarks and warned the senior ODM party official to watch his tongue and desist from such language.

“The unfortunate comment by ODM’s secretary general likening Ford Kenya to a ‘slay queen’ is very unfortunate. Please watch your language, politics is a very hard game. You should refrain from using such derogatory language,” Simiyu told Sifuna.

It is understood that  Sifuna uttered the controversial remarks in response to a threat by FORD Kenya leader, Moses Wetangula, who had earlier called a press conference to inform Kenyans he was planning to take ODM to court over sharing of Political Parties Funds and members’ monthly contributions.

“Ford Kenya is like a slay queen insulting the spouse and then expecting to be sent rent. ODM will not give Ford Kenya even a penny. Whatever they contributed to the NASA coalition has been negated by their propaganda…,” Sifuna fired at FORD Kenya’s boss, Wetangula.
