President Uhuru Kenyatta angered by Ambira High School remarks

Be careful what you say especially on camera because it could all come back to you as it has to three form four candidates whose mouths have put them not only on the wrong side of the law but have also angered President Uhuru Kenyatta.

Police in Siaya County have today arrested form four leavers from Ambira High School who were caught on camera bragging that they were involved in examination malpractices. In the video that went viral on social media, the students daringly insulted two cabinet secretaries, Fred Matiang’i and Amina Mohamed for their efforts in ensuring the credibility of the exams.

After reviewing the footage, the eight students were identified by the school’s principal on Friday when he recorded a statement with DCI detectives who visited the school to investigate allegations of cheating in the ongoing Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education examination.

Police boss Joseph Boinett, says they have taken the matter seriously and detectives will follow all leads to have all those captured in the video arrested and questioned saying that the students who had just completed their KCSE were persons of interest in exam cheating scandal.

According to Boinnet, the arrest was not pegged on insults but on confessions by students that they cheated in examinations.

President Kenyatta said that the government will not entertain indiscipline and abuse from young people saying that they must learn to respect their elders adding that the students are where the ought to be, referring to them being in police custody.
