“Mweshimiwa tuhurumie” Why MPs lifestyle will leave Kenya poor like hell

Image result for palace-likeWanjiku is begging mheshimiwa to consider them after they unleashed a mission to finish Kenya with their preffered lifestyle .

With state of the art finishing, probably ‘palace-like’ interior design and it will be habitable for the money-minded individuals popularly known as the ‘M-PIGS’. They consider other citizens a nuisance, citizens who travel from far to voice their issues because of their unavailability in their respective constituencies, construction of a Sh110 million tunnel began in November 2017 as well.

All to ensure pesky constituents do not access them. The tunnel which should have been completed by now links Parliament with Nairobi County Hall to the office blocks across the road. The MPs have spent all these amount just to ease their movement around parliament precincts but are not bothered on easing life for any of their constituents.Image result for mps kenya

FAST FORWARD TO NOVEMBER 2018 AND ONCE AGAIN HAVE COME UP WITH A LITANY OF IDEAS IN IN FORM OF A PROPOSED BILL. THE GREEDY PIGS HAVE COME WITH A NEW ‘SHOPPING’ LIST OF DEMANDS IN THEIR NEW BILL THAT GOD FORBID BECOMES LAW.
Despite being the best paid in the world with a Sh1.2 million salary, they have declared that they are ‘suffering’ and have made proposals for better terms which would best summarized a shopping list that Kenyans are supposed to pay for by taxes that Kenyans pay.

These include:

A rent-free house. – This is on top of a Sh20 million mortgage facility subject to interest rate of 3 per cent per annum only
A government vehicle
Car loans on top of mileage allowance and a Sh7 million car grant that all 416 receive
An expanded medical cover – to cover their extended families (lovers) – Current medical scheme provides for Sh10 million inpatient cover per family, Sh300,000 for outpatient cover, Sh150,000 for maternity and Sh75,000 for dental care.
Expanded travel allowances

Diplomatic passports – that gives unfettered access to VIP areas across the world
Expanded constituency outreach operation
Bigger pots
A better bar
Five-star chefs
New bidets in the toiletsNothing in the above list can any average Kenyan relate to or match up to. With a recurrent expenditure that is more than two-fold of the development expenditure, MPs are clearly mocking Kenyans, showing them that they were fools in voting them in. Taxpayers who voted for the same MPs to work for their interests.

The crux of the matter is that Kenyans are fed up by the greedy demeanour of MPs. Habits that cannot move the country forward let alone sustain it. Their recent outbursts on the national debt burden has not fettered them from demanding for more. MPs must stop fleecing Kenyans and driving the country towards poverty. They must stop their endless greed and know that leaders are elected to serve Kenyans in patriotism.

As President Uhuru Kenyatta said recently in Mombasa, “We as leaders are we committed to development or are we committed to ourselves because, I think somewhere along the line we lost that patriotism that said as a leader, my role as a leader is not what I can do for myself but how I can improve the lot of those that I lead.”
