Paris Saint Germain has been handed a major injury blow as Kylian Mbappe and Neymar suffered injuries while on international duty with France and Brazil respectively.
Mbappe suffered a shoulder injury in the first half during France’s 1-0 friendly win over Uruguay on Tuesday with his place being taken by Florian Thauvin.
On the other end, Neymar left the pitch early in Brazil’s friendly with Cameroon in Milton Keynes.
“Not necessarily reassuring, but not worrying either. He had some shoulder pain after his fall and he has to have tests tomorrow (Wednesday) morning, but there is no serious concern,” said France boss Didier Deschamps.
“He came off complaining of pain. He felt a discomfort, he will need a bit more time to evaluate it and take a scan, but in principle, it is not a serious injury,” said Brazil doctor Rodrigo Lasmar.
