Inter Milan are ready to sanction £31million transfer move for Ivan Perisic as they look to raise funds for next summer’s kitty, according to reports.
Manchester United have been heavily linked with Perisic for ages with Jose Mourinho understood to be a long-term admirer of the Croatia international.
The stumbling block on a deal in the summer was reportedly Inter’s asking price as United refused to pay as much as £50million for the winger.
However, Calciomercato claim that Inter have scaled back their valuation of Perisic with a bid of £31million enough to see the Italians part with one of their prized assets.
The Red Devils would no doubt be more interested in a deal at that price, especially now Inter seem willing to negotiate.
Perisic is 30 in February and the club are reportedly concerned that his career at the club is tailing off and are willing to cash in.
They hope those funds will go towards some marquee signings that can take them to the next level and close the gap on Italian giants Juventus.
Inter will want to have a replacement lined up and the report adds that they could revisit the idea of loaning United forward Anthony Martial.
