According to the Spanish television show, Neymar’s not speaking about a desire or the possibility of returning to Barça next season. No: He has told those closest to him that he will be at Barça next season.
They say Neymar’s told friends and close family members “next year when we’re in Barcelona…” with 100 percent certainty that he will be there again. Josep Pedrerol asked if he has spoken with Real Madrid, to which the journalist with the story claimed Neymar’s totally focused on FC Barcelona.
What can be said is that PSG would have to let the player go and Barça would have to pay the cost of the transfer, which would be no less than the 222 million euros the French club paid to sign him in 2017. In that sense, any deal could be complicated.
However, Neymar’s problems with Cavani and PSG’s problems with UEFA’s Financial Fair Play rules could open the door for the Brazil forward to leave the club.
