Adrien Rabiot’s future has been the source of widespread speculation for what seems like an eternity, but it now appears that the Frenchman has made a decision on his next move in the beautiful game, and it’s one that will leave his Premier League pursuers deflated.

Mundo Deportivo reports that Rabiot, currently at PSG, will shun the likes of Liverpool, Manchester City and Tottenham, after being ‘seduced’ by Spanish giants Barcelona who he now looks set on joining next summer when his contract in Paris expires.

Any agreement won’t be officially put in place until at least January 1, when the 23-year-old is allowed to begin talks with other clubs as he would have entered into the final six months of his PSG deal.

But for now, it looks like the transfer has only been agreed verbally following a series of meetings, although nothing is yet set in stone, for the next six weeks at least.

Rabiot has been at PSG since 2012, during which he’s won a whopping four French titles, four Coupe de France, and a further five Coupe de la Ligue honours.

However, he was unable to add a World Cup to his already impressive haul of trophies as he rejected Didier Deschamps’ standby request prior to last summer’s showpiece spectacular in Russia, which Les Bleus went on to win.

A number of Premier League clubs were eyeing up his services during the summer months, however nothing materialised, and he’s since gone on to play 16 times for PSG this season, contributing a couple of goals, along with an assist.

For the time being, he’ll be bidding to end his time in the French capital with further honours, before attempting to showcase his talent alongside Lionel Messi and co in Catalan country.
