Kabogo back Ekuru Aokot’s Initiative

Former Kiambu Governor William Kabogo has comeout to support Thirdway Alliance Party Leader Ekuro Aukot in the  =push aimed at reducing the number of elective seats.

While posting on his twitter account he said, “Punguza we must lest we all sink as a nation what and how we do in the next two years will have either a very positive effect on our country or catastrophe will befall us”

Aukot’s ‘Punguza Mzigo’ initiative is an initiative by former presidential candidate Ekuru Aukot who a week ago announced that he had already collected over 600,000 signatures from Kenyans endorsing the constitutional amendments.

According to Aukot, “The constitution, under Article 257, requires a million endorsements to begin to spur the process of referendum. Punguza Mizigo is about lessening the burden on Kenyans and reducing the cost of running government.”

The party leader said he was keenly following the guidelines issued by the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) over the exercise and expressed optimism that his push will be realised as it had received massive backing from Kenyans countrywide.
