Interior Cabinet Secretary has become a darling to many following his good work in all the Ministries entrusted to him, he has even gone ahead and won the presidents trust how cool is that?
Not many times we see the President so hopeful with one member of his cabinet with most of his work but this one seems President Kenyatta is proud of Matiang’i
Well, this has now prompted other leaders in believing that CS Matiang’s can actiually run a county government.
ODM Treasurer Timothy Bosire has now has invited CS matiang’i to trun for a gubernatorial seat under the ODM ticket, however I dont think Bosire ever heard Matiang’i say he is not interested in politics,,well maybe not but yes Bosire he is not interested Sorry though.
According to MP Bosire, “If the minister is ready to join the race, nothing will prevent him from doing so. He’s very much welcome to test people’s power.I will face him like any other candidate. In mature democracy, we respect the outcome of the majority.”
However the tough talking minister has remained tight lipped about the issue
Bosire, who is also warming up for the race, said any Kenyan is free to exercise political rights according to the law.
Last year, Bosire blamed Matiang’i for his shortfall in the elections, insisting that Jubilee used him to rig in incumbent Shadrack Mose.
And Mr Bosire, has since reconciled with Jubilee team following March 9th handshake between President Uhuru Kenyatta and ODM leader Raila Odinga.
Matiang’i has been applaunded for the changes he has brought in all the ministries he has worked in.In the Ministry of Education he finished exam cheating in Secondary and Primary schools national exams as well as changed the colour of all school buses to yello just to mention a few.
Fast forward to now he is the man behind the 2018 matatu traffic crackdown putting effort to bring back the Michuki rules to our roads.
