Joey Muthengi replaced at Citizen TV

Just when we thought the pouching is over we all got it wrong,Citizen TV is back at doing what they have been doing best which is pouching journalists from other media houses and not just any but one of the best at their game.

Well enough said, NTV’s senior news anchor Trevor Ombija is the latest news anchor who  have been approached by Citizen to have him join their news coverage team.

According to sources Ombija has left NTV for Citizen TV with his last day been Monday and is expected to be taking up new duties at the said station.

In addition, the news anchor would be taking over “Day Break”,  a morning show that was hosted by Joey Muthengi who have already left together with Fred Indimuli, Willis Raburu and Waihiga Mwaura as well as a spot on Friday night news which was hosted by Jackie Maribe who has been given orders by the judge not to anchor news until her murder case is over.

To cement the whole rumour Trevor went to his social media instagram page where he posted a photo captioning, “I was trying to teach @zeynismail how to dance “Ohangla” but I quickly gave up. Every beginning has an end and every end has a beginning, in life always do what scares you the most and remember Psalms 46:10 “Be still and know that I am God” Until the next time, my queen of dry jokes,”

The Friday night slot was also left hanging after journalist and TV presenter Waihiga Mwaura won the BBC World News Komla Dumor Award. As part of the prize, he will spend three months at the BBC in London and travel back to report on a story anywhere in Africa.

Trevor, who graduated from the University of Nairobi, worked for CCTV Africa and Nation FM before joining NTV news team in 2014.

Congratulations Trevor!!!
