Is the bus driver high on liquor or weed?
There are Nairobi Matatus and Rongai ‘Nganyas’!!! An Ongata Line Public Service Vehicle was captured on camera shamelessly trampling on Sonko grass and making an diffucult and illegal u-turn along Mombasa Road.
The driver does the unthinkable after noticing the piling traffic on the way ahead on the road that hadly has a shoulder allowance to overlap on leaving the driver with ‘no option’ but to risk his passengers’ lives and kill governor Sonko’s dream.

In January this year, Governor Sonko launched a beautification program that is meant to make Nairobi a new ambiance and so far it has been nothing but success all the way through the various routes into the City Centre.
The driver however could not contain his ego and decided to follow his greed for cash over the general good of the county and country. The governor also directed that metal bars be erected along the pavements to curb accidents along the streets.
“Nairobi is a commercial hub. We need to invest on transforming it to continue attracting more tourists and investors. he said.
Sonko, after the start of the project, denied a media report that the county intends to use Sh50 million to beautify the city. In a statement, he insited that the county has not put in place such a budget for the project.
“The anti-corruption strategy that I have put in place has made it impossible to loot from county coffers since all requests must get approval by the controller of budget and treasury,” Sonko said.
