Chelsea target Elseid Hysaj is set to open contract talks with Napoli, his agent has confirmed.
Hysaj was heavily linked with a move to Chelsea after Maurizio Sarri joined the Premier League side in the summer. However, a move was blocked by the Naples president Aurelio De Laurentiis and Sarri managed to only land midfielder Jorginho on the same day he joined the Blues.
Sarri was keen to bring the highly rated right-back from the Stadio Paolo to provide competition for Cesar Azpilicueta and Davide Zappacosta.
“We’ve been talking to Napoli for some time. In the next few weeks I’ll meet the president to understand if there are the conditions for a renewal,” Guiffredi, Hasaj’s agent told the Daily Mail.
The 24-year-old has only two and a half years remaining on his current contract.
