Radiation device!! Shocking materials found in Mugo wa Wairimu’s clinic

The media expose` on Mugo Wairimu, branded as a rogue gynaecologist who allegedly raped his patients,  emerged as the most-watched video of the year in 2015.

That was according to a ranking by YouTube of videos that captured Kenyans attention that year.

After the story slowly went underground in a series of court cases , the quack doctor received his freedom back and was this time operating big.

Mugo, accused of sexually assaulting a patient while posing as a doctor was again wanted for allegedly operating an illegal clinic in Kayole, Nairobi.

Head of Flying Squad Musa Yego said they were looking for Mugo “for questioning” after he was named owner of the clinic. The officers recovered materials they believed were used in procurement of abortions at the clinic. Mr Yego asked for public support to arrest Mugo.

He is also charged with being in possession of and using a radiation device without permit from the Radiation Protection Board. He has a separate case of practising without authority at Makadara Law Courts and another of obtaining money by false pretence.

Sleuths had been trying to locate the quack doctor, with searches in Kiambu and Nairobi not bearing any fruit.

The controversial figure, who is accused of running an illegal clinic in Kayole, Nairobi, was later taken to Pangani Police Station.According to police, Mugo evaded arrest for weeks since an expose on his operations was aired on NTV by continuously swapping SIM cards.

Two people alleged to be employees Mugo Wa Wairimu were previously arraigned in a Nairobi Court and charged with several offences of operating illegally.

The two; 22-year-old Victor Gathiru Kamunya and 19-year-old Risper Auma Ogony were charged with operating a business while not registered as a pharmacist by the Pharmacy and Poisons Board, operating a medical laboratory without registration and license by the Kenya Medical Laboratory Technicians and Technologists Board, practicing as unregistered and unlicensed medical practitioners and practicing nursing and using the “Doctor” title without qualification.Image result for mugo wa wairimu

However the parents have come out guns blazing defending their son whom they say is innocent.

Mugo was born on December, 5, 1975 as the fourth born to a family of six children—five of them sons.

“He is my son, of whom I am proud. Even if you came with a big gun and asked me to deny him, I would die defending him.” Those were the words of Mrs Regina Wairimu Ndichu, mother of James Mugo Ndichu.
