Chelsea defender Andreas Christensen doesn’t expect to leave Stamford Bridge in January.
Having made 40 appearances under Antonio Conte last season and established himself in the heart of Chelsea’s defence – Christensen has struggled for games under Maurizio Sarri.
He’s featured just six times in all competitions this campaign and is firmly behind Antonio Rudiger and David Luiz in the pecking order.
The Denmark international made noises that he would seek a move in January if he didn’t receive more competitive minutes.
But now the 22-year-old has backtracked.
Asked if he saw his future away from Stamford Bridge, Christensen said: “Difficult question. No, I don’t think so.
“Things are different from last season. I played a lot of games [last season] but this season it hasn’t been like that. It’s always difficult for a player but we’ll see what happens.”
