The Golden Boot winner took some time yesterday to spread the love and inspire his home town Kajiado upcoming talents.

In an event attended by among others leaders from the Kajiado region, Kapaito took some time to encourage the youth in the area to engage in positive activities that will help nurture their talents.

Kajiado is an area known for pastrolism and with Kapaito coming from the region and making it in the Kenya Premier League, his story certainly need to be shared to inspire numerous youths with talents and especially those from areas that look abandoned and with no future.

Erick Kapaito scooped three awards in this year’s KPL awards seeing off stiff competition from other top players like Jack Tuyisenge of champions Gor Mahia.

Kapaito crowned the awards gala with the league’s Most Valuable Player award to add to the Golden Boot and the Fair Play Player of the Year Awards.

For the MVP gong, Kapaito beat stiff opposition from Mathare United’s Cliff Nyakeya, who took the Midfielder of the year and Bandaris Felly Mulumba, who went home with the Defender of the Year trophy.

With the three awards, Kapaito walked home with Sh1.7 million in cash.
