Did you watch the weekend’s game between Southampton and Watford? Southampton played out a 1-1 draw with Watford at the weekend and the 90 minutes certainly had their talking points that kept fans extremely occupied following the fulltime whistle.
A disallowed goal for Charlie Austin would’ve sent them to a two goal advantage and given how the game was playing out, you can easily argue that it would’ve been enough to dent Watford’s confidence when it came to staging a comeback, but with the referee making a massive mistake, they ultimately paid the price and are still waiting for their first home win of the campaign and their second Premier League win overall.
Spoken from the heart after today’s game, thats what the interview are for not to sit on the fence yes we all make mistakes but today was a costly one and @SouthamptonFC should of won the game.

Charlie Austin didn’t hold back in his post-game interview and if the Football Association find fault with his criticism more fool them. Manager Mark Hughes was also spot on, albeit more composed when he reached the camera but the more optimistic of fan will certainly have taken the positives of some improvements and some real passion being shown as we continue to look to turn their season around.
There is the Parklife version doing the rounds which did make me smile in fairness, but if only all players should that passion and honesty the game might not be as sterile as the modern game now is.
However, Charlie Austin’s post stirred heated reactions on twitter, with many reacting bitterly.
Rubbish, Watford should have had a pen with a 2nd yellow to your man before your disallowed goal. Had we equalised & you’d gone down to 10, we’d have prob, won. Or does bad officiating only matter when it’s against your team?
