Why Pogba missed Man City clash

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has revealed that Paul Pogba will not link up with the France squad for their November internationals after he missed the 3-1 loss to Manchester City on Sunday 11th November.

Pogba picked up an injury in the 2-1 win over Juventus in the UEFA Champions League and missed the training sessions leading up to the Manchester Derby.

Pogba failed to recover in time for the crunch time fixture against Manchester City and missed the matchday squad altogether. France will play Netherlands in the UEFA League of Nations while they have a friendly lined up against Uruguay.

In a post-match press conference after the loss to Manchester City, Mourinho confirmed off mic that Pogba will not join the France squad. He, however, declined to talk about missing Pogba in the game while on air, “Is not for me to lose a game and speak about this other player that was not playing. I don’t like very, very much.”
