Don’t be harassed by police in the name of crackdown! Here is how you can report complaints for free

Have you been caught up in the trap of disobeying Michuki rules, which are now the talk of the town? The police started the crackdown today  (Monday) morning on all public service vehicles countrywide and no one cold be spared.

Both passengers and vehicle operators ( Drivers and Conductors) found breaking any of the rules got handcuffed and a fine had to be paid depending on the rule broken.

Here are some of the charges you will have to pay instantly when caught in the trap;

1)Lacking lifesavers-2,000/=
2)Failure to display lifesavers when needed- 3,000/=
3)Missing seat belts-1,000/=
4)Failure to wear seat belt- 500
5)Missing Identification Plates- 10,000/=
6) Driving on Pedestrian walkaway-5,000/=
7)Causing Obstruction-10,000/=
8) Failure Traffic Sign-3,000/=
9)Failure to stop when ordered-5,000/=
10)Lacking Valid or appropriate licence-7,000/=
11)Failure to renew driving licence-1,000/=
12)Failure to produce a driving licence-1,000/=
13)Driving while using a mobile phone-2,000/=
14)Learners without “L” plates (Front and rear )-1,000/=
15) Driving a PSV while unqualified-7,000/=
16)Letting an authorized person drive a PSV-5,000/=

However, Some police officers were rogue and harassed the passengers, but you now don’t have to worry anymore since the national police service has provided a way of reporting such cases anonymously.

“As we restore sanity on our roads, members of public/Police Officers can now send compliments/complaints against Police officers anonymously for free by calling 0800721230,sending SMS to 40683 or by dialing *683#,” National Police Service posted on twitter.

Several people have been arrested this morning, with some getting harassed but with this anonymous reporting system, do you think sanity will be restored on the roads?
