Is this another blow to Standard media? Just recently, the KTN Friday briefing host Betty Kyalo dumped the Mombasa road based media house for Mediamax Network after getting a fresh deal in its television, K24.
A few months before Betty’s departure, Mashirima Kapombe, a news reporter and anchor had also dumped the media house for Royal media services, where she is now anchoring news on Citizen TV.
Today, Kenyans woke up in a shock following a message posted by Abuller Ahmed, KTN’s sports news presenter in a programme dubbed Zilzala viwanjani, citing that it was now time for him to leave KTN.
Abuller has worked for KTN as a sports presenter for a period of three years.
His post that was in Kiswahili language, which he loves most read, “Kawaida mtoto huanza kutambaa Kisha akasimama na kutembea Dede, anaposhika Kasi huachiliwa ajipimie mwendo, kwa kipindi Cha Miaka mitatu nimepitia hatua zote hizi kwenye runinga ya KTN, umewadia wakati wa kupaa kwa mbawa zangu, Kwanza natoa shukrani za dhati kwa mashabiki wote, pili kwa Shirika la Standard na kikosi kizima Cha KTN, tatu kwa kitengo Cha KTN michezo kikiongozwa na Hassan Jumaa na mwisho kabisa kwa mentor wangu wa nguvu Ali Ole Manzu #NgomaItambae.”
His departure from Standard Media may just see another talented presenter leave soon. And guess who?
Hassan Ali Kauleni, commonly known as Hassan Mwana wa Ali may also leave, if his comment o Abuller Ahmed’s post meant anything.
Hassan posted, “Ninaye mwenzangu studioni…..maneno yako yangali kunirindima masikioni. Abuller Ahmed u mtu MPOLE, MSTAHAMILIVU na MCHAPASI kweli! Haya maruerue yataishaje bro? Upweke huu jamani! Wanifanya pia nami kuanza kufikiri mara mbili mbili! Huku nyuma hakukai vizuri. Alilopanga Mola ndilo huwa. In Shaa Allah kila la kheri.”
However, Ahmed has not indicated his next destination, though he might have landed a new fresh deal in another media house.
