Its clear now that Socialite Vera Sidika would do anything to keep herself relevant and blogs all writting about her after all thats how she gets or is it market herself as a “business” anyway she once said her body is her business. I mean she is the Kim kardashian of Kenya as she clearly trys to emulate her.
The lass has over 1 Million followers on Instagram, thousands of blog posts have written about her, she has had countless TV interviews and without a doubt one of the most popular celebrities around east Africa and with all this popularity it is not all good but this lass faces social media bullying but hey who is Vera she has developed a thick skin against the negativity and it no longer affects her.
Speaking in an interview with on of the local radio stations Vera said, “I don’t mind being insulted on social media because most of the people who insult me do not hate me, they just love to hate. This because they know a rude comment gets a lot of likes like 2,000 which is more than the followers that some of them have on their page. They know when they make a rude comment on my page it will get attention and it makes them excited to receive attention.”
But when she was a newbie in the industry, a rumour about her drove her to tears.
In addition she said, that the rumour affected her so badly that she cried to her mother. “When I started out a few months into the fame it was so hard (to handle the negativity) that I cried because they said I was sick. That I was dying of HIV. So I called my mum and told her ‘Oh my God, I can’t believe these people are saying such things about me.’ I was new in the industry then but I have grown thick skin, I don’t care now. In fact when people don’t say anything mean I wonder why they are quiet.”
While she was dating Kenyan RnB singer Otile Brown the two went on to take HIV tests and posting them on social media.
However the mystery still remains whether the two were in the socalled relationship for publicity stunt or it was indeed real.The two broke up the first time with Vera taking to her instagram page to explain Otile Brown faults and why their relationship had fail,Then weeks later when shje was celebrating her birthday in Dubai the two hooked up and decided hey we got to have this thing going and they reunited as a couple.
Barely three weeks into the much hyped relationship the two again called it quits with Vera again taking to her social media acxcount telling it all as she claimed it was where she even went ahead and did a you tube channel.
