Vanessa Mdee receives grand recognition from India

Tanzanian Singer Vanessa Mdee has today received a grand recognition from India  in a letter from the Ministry of External affairs.

The government of India applauded her musical contribution  for the commemoration of the 150th birth Anniversary year of Mahatma Gandhi. Saying that her beautiful rendition of the hymn ‘Vaishnav Jan’ a favorite Gadhi hymn will form part of an abiding tribute to the apostle of peace and non-violence.

Vanessa Mdee’s performance was greatly  appreciated by all Indians and also by the International community.

It has also contributed to boosting the relations between  India and Tanzania.

The popular Tanzanian Star received rose to fame with the release of her first solo single “Closer”, which in its first week was downloaded over 30,000 times, a feat achieved by no other Tanzanian artist.

Vanessa has had the chance to interview many artists, such as K’Naan, Kelly Rowland, French Montana, Trey Songs, Mac Miller, Rick Ross, Ludacris, Miguel, Donald, Nazizi, Xtatic, Stella Mwangi, Camp Mulla, Tay Grin, Teargas, Dr. Sid and many more African and international acts.

Vanessa Mdee has also received grand achievements and recognition over the years in the music industry.
