Ndio baba! Glamor as Uhuru meets his former right hand man

Is there any stopping for Lt-Col Peter Njiru? Seems not!

It was pomp and colour as the president Uhuru Kenyatta met his former Aide de Camp Lt-Col Peter Njiru during the Eldoret Kenya Defence Forces Recruits’ Passing Out Parade held on Thursday 8th November.

Njiru was in June this year promoted to Brigadier and appointed as Commandant, Recruit Training school. It was glamour as the two met in Eldoret and exchanged warm glances just before the event that was full of color.

The president insisted on the need to adjust, modernize and diversify KDF’s training which will in turn ensure Kenya remains safe from emerging security threats could not be over emphasized.

“Our soldiers must always have the skills to secure our country and our region. That is why our Kenya Defence Forces will continue its operations in AMISOM. For its part, KDF is a standing rebuke to the forces of division. In its unity, in its patriotism and in its devotion to the sovereignty of the Republic, it shows the very best of Kenya as a nation,” President Kenyatta said.

The soldiers are always the highlights of such events through their meticulous moves that stole the hearts of the visiting relatives and friends. They are never a disappointment and neither did they this time round! Watch…

“I ask those who have graduated today to dedicate themselves to maintaining that unity, that inclusion and that excellence,” President Kenyatta urged the graduands. These virtues are patriotism, knowledge and selflessness in service. You cannot truly protect what you do not love. I ask you today to cultivate deep love for this country,” President Kenyatta urged the young soldiers,” he added.

“You cannot truly protect Kenya if you put yourself or your interests first. So learn to put your country and countrymen first,” the Head of State said in conclusion.
