Revealed: Gor Mahia Players Selected by Scouts in Europe

Gor Mahia made history last Tuesday as the first East African side to play against a Premier League side on English soil. The team lost the match but surely got a memorable experience and great lessons that the players will cherish forever.

There were earlier reports that a number of scouts would grace the Gor Mahia Vs Everton clash in a bid to look for great talent from the green army.

Gor Mahia coach Dylan Kerr has now revealed that four players impressed the scouts during the friendly.

The Briton has confirmed that already scouts have enquired about four players, who were outstanding in the friendly.

“Yes scouts have already enquired about three players which is good, no actually four players, I had a message this morning from a scout, who is interested in another player so here we have four players noted by scouts and that is a good thing for Gor Mahia but let’s wait and see what happens.”

Kerr also admits that Gor Mahia did not deserve to lose by a 4-0 margin. “Nobody wanted that result, 4-0, it was a bad result but we marched them, they never caused us many problems like I thought, we defended very well and also missed our top striker Jacques Tuyisenge which did not help.

”I don’t think we got hammered, we gave them a few scares and should have scored a couple of goals and we didn’t because we were unlucky, and nobody really troubled my goalkeeper and when you look at the list of the players, they have, I must thank my players because they put up a good show.”

Gor Mahia used the friendly to prepare for the new season that kicks-off on December 8.

Gor Mahia’s adventure in the United Kingdom continued as the team was treated to a warm welcome to the K COM stadium, home to championship club hull city. Hull City is also sponsored by Africa betting giants Sportpesa that also sponsors Kenyan Champions Gor Mahia.
