Manchester United manager, Jose Mourinho was ecstatic after the dramatic 2-1 comeback against Juventus in the UEFA Champions League and has explained his celebration after the final whistle.
Mourinho stormed into the pitch and put his hands close to his ear as someone struggling to grasp what the other is saying. The celebration didn’t go down well with Leonardo Bonucci who confronted him but Mourinho admitted in the post-match interview that he went overboard with his celebrations.
The former Inter Milan manager explained his innocence in the interview, “I didn’t offend anyone at the end. I just made a gesture that I wanted to hear them louder.” Mourinho added that the insults thrown at him by Juventus fans prompted his celebration, “I probably shouldn’t have done it, and with a cool head I wouldn’t have done it, but with my family insulted, including my Inter family, I reacted like this.”
